EPL: Chelsea players still support Pochettino despite poor form
Despite Chelsea’s recent struggles and a list of losses under Mauricio Pochettino, he still has full backing of the Chelsea dressing room.
Pochettino, who took charge in the summer, has faced challenges with the team’s form, losing seven out of 16 Premier League games.
However, there is no indication that owner Todd Boehly is considering a change in management.
Pochettino sees the transformation of Chelsea’s poor run as a long-term project, while emphasizing a strategic approach despite the disappointing results.
Chelsea’s recent defeat against Everton added to their woes, placing them 12th in the Premier League table.
Despite a significant investment of £1 billion in the squad over the past three transfer windows, Chelsea’s performances have fallen short of expectations.
Pochettino, who succeeded Graham Potter in the managerial role, has faced scrutiny with a record of eight wins, four draws, and seven defeats in all competitions.
After the Everton defeat, Pochettino hinted at potential reinforcements in the upcoming January transfer window, stating the need for improvement.
“We need to talk and try to improve in the next transfer market. If we are not aggressive enough (on the pitch), maybe we need to do something,” he said.
