EPL: Amorim endures second straight loss as Man United fall to Nottingham Forest

Ruben Amorim’s early tenure as Manchester United manager took another blow as his side suffered a 3-2 home defeat to Nottingham Forest.

This marked their second consecutive Premier League loss, after a visit to Arsenal ended 2-0 recently.

United’s poor defending was exposed early when Nikola Milenkovic headed Forest into the lead in the second minute, outmuscling Lisandro Martinez at a corner.

It was United’s third set-piece concession in two matches.

Rasmus Højlund brought United level before halftime, pouncing on a rebound after Manuel Ugarte’s initial effort.

The hosts nearly took the lead moments later, but Bruno Fernandes’ free-kick rattled the crossbar.

Forest then regained control immediately after the restart. Morgan Gibbs-White capitalized on a weak save from André Onana to make it 2-1, and Chris Wood extended the lead following another Onana error.

Fernandes briefly reignited hope for United with a stunning strike, but the team failed to sustain pressure for an equalizer.
