“End all protests now” – VeryDarkMan pleads with Nigerians
Popular Nigerian social media activist VeryDarkMan has called for an end to nationwide protests, announcing his withdrawal and urging a stop to protest in all states.
In a recently posted video, the activist expressed his reasons for stepping back from the protest and urged others to do the same.
He highlighted concerning developments, particularly in some Northern states where protesters have begun flying the Russian flag and calling for Russian intervention in Nigeria’s affairs.
Additionally, these protesters are advocating for a military coup, seeking to replace the democratic government with military rule.
VeryDarkMan emphasized that the original objective of the protest, which was addressing hunger, has been overshadowed by surprising new demands.
He expressed concern that the movement is being hijacked by some individuals with ulterior motives, diverging from its initial cause.
He also noted the increasing violence associated with the protests and urged the government to impose curfews in the affected states to prevent further escalation.
