Elderly woman dies after being attacked by her dog
A 73 year old woman Jeriline Brady-McGinnis, has died after being attacked by her own dog, a pit bull, in Massachusetts.
The Police who disclosed that the incident happened on Monday evening, added that the deceased husband and two Boston cops was injured when they jumped in to help her.
They were all taken to the hospital after the incident which happened inside her home in Roxbury around 4:30 p.m, but Brady-McGinnis did not make it as she died in surgery.
The two police officers and Brady-McGinnis’ spouse suffered non-life threatening injuries.
One of her friends, Jean McGuire, who spoke to newsmen, stated that the deceased was very close to her dogs, adding that she owned four dogs.
She added that neighbors were afraid of the dogs and claimed they were too much.
“She got attacked some way and they ripped her arm.
“She’s very close to her animals, almost like children, I think, she took good care of them. She walked them every day.
“Neighbors were afraid of the four dogs owned by Brady-McGinnis with McGuire claiming the couple had too many pets in the home,” she said.
