EFCC raids OAU hostels at 2 am, arrests over sixty students
EFCC caused an uproar on social media after they raided some hostels at OAU at 2 am this morning, arresting over 60 male students without any search warrant
The law enforcement agency has been in the news over their incessant raids at odd hours, with Leo DaSilva dragging them after their raid at his grandmother’s house.
Today, they chose two hostels in OAU, namely ‘Fine touch’ and ‘Superb hostels’ to arrest young boys who they suspect are into internet fraud.
The school’s union government have taken to social media to strongly condemn the act, stating it goes against principles of justice and due process.
Many Netizens have also expressed their outrage and displeasure at this act by EFCC, while trending hashtags to secure the release of the students.

@AgboObinnaya said: Nigeria’s law enforcement agencies operate like thieves.
@Sheunfunmmie64 wrote: This is actually outrageous and condemnable. You have no right to burgle into students hall of residence in the dead of a night and start packing everyone on sight.
