‘Double bed!’ – Iwobi, Aina stunned by shared bed mix-up on Super Eagles duty

Nigerian internationals Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina were left surprised upon arrival at their team hotel for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers when they discovered they had been assigned a single double bed to share.
The Premier League duo, part of Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, arrived in camp on Tuesday, only to be met with an unexpected accommodation mix-up.
In a video that quickly gained traction online, Fulham midfielder Iwobi was visibly shocked by the arrangement.

He exclaimed, “Oh my days bro. Surely this can be separated, man, because bro, I’ll sleep on the floor.”
Nottingham Forest defender Aina, however, found the situation amusing and teased his teammate, jokingly warning, “Alex! Alex! Don’t kiss me oh. Double bed!”
Despite the lighthearted exchange, the issue was quickly resolved, with both players receiving separate beds—though placed closely together.
Nigeria’s squad is gearing up for a crucial set of qualifiers as they seek to revive their World Cup campaign after a slow start.
The Super Eagles face Rwanda in Kigali on March 21 before returning home to play Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
