“Don’t pull your hamstring again” – Man United co-owner advices Shaw before Euro 2024 final

Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has wished Luke Shaw luck in England’s Sunday final, but advices he shouldn’t “pull his hamstring.”

England will face Spain in the Euro 2024 final, and Shaw is among Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Berlin clash.

The United star, recovering from a hamstring injury that sidelined him since February, has been a surprise inclusion in Gareth Southgate’s squad.

Although Kieran Trippier has started every game at left-back, Shaw has made impactful appearances off the bench in the knockout stages against Switzerland and the Netherlands.

Despite his limited role, Shaw is expected to be on the bench again for the final.

Meanwhile, Ratcliffe, who acquired a 25% stake in Manchester United in February, acknowledged Shaw’s injury struggles in his message.

“All the very best of luck on Sunday and I sincerely hope you’re successful,” Ratcliffe told BBC Sport.

He added, “Luke, please don’t pull your hamstring again.”
