Denola Grey berates parents’ pressure to wed despite being in unhappy marriages
UK-based Nigerian content creator, Denola Grey slams African parents who pressure their children into marriages while emphasizing how unhappy their generation is.
The model made this revelation on the Dressed To Confess Podcast where he discussed the difference between marriage then and now in the 21st century.
Denola Grey revealed that parents may be the factor responsible for their children’s misfortune in marriage due to pressure that gets them in the wrong hands.
He argued that most marriages of today’s parent are based on ‘slavery’ and many of them are unhappy in their marital lives.
Denola insisted that when he decides to settle down, it would be with a partner he loves and not the one he tolerates.
“When will you fix your marriage or your wig, how about that? I don’t know why they are so obsessed because a lot of them are not in happy marriages, especially the older generations. You want me to just meet someone and marry them and be managing them. I hate slavery!” he stated.
