Delta State Government reacts to Remi Tinubu’s viral video

The Delta State Government has reacted to the viral video of the President’s wife, Remi Tinubu and some nurses over some giveaway she made.
Recall that a video went viral on X (formerly Twitter), the incident occurred during an event attended by the First Lady. As a song honoring her was sung, students were expected to chant, “Na our mama be this.”
However, instead of following the lyrics, they responded with “Na your mama be this,” signaling their refusal to recognize her in that capacity. This happened when the First Lady went to make some giveaway to the nurses.
Delta State Government explained that the video did not accurately reflect the full context of the event.
“We now noticed that there was a viral video that tends to communicate messages that are variance with what the scenario of that moment,” the representative stated.
“The wife of the president apologized to nurses because this particular giveaway was meant for the midwives and not the nurses,” he added.
The representative’s statement aimed to clarify that the discomfort expressed by the nurses was due to confusion rather than any intentional disrespect.
