Manchester City are back to the top of the Premier League table with a gritty 1-0 away win against Leicester City.
The English side picked up their fourth win in their last five matches after a frustrating night in Dortmund in the Champions League earlier this week.
With Erling Haaland missing in action due to injury and a fever, Pep Guardiola’s side struggled to break down a resolute Leicester backline.
Manchester City however moved to the top of the Premier League after Kevin de Bruyne’s world-class free-kick broke down Leicester City’s stubborn resistance at the King Power Stadium.
While they did manage to create a flurry of half-chances in an effort to pull themselves level in the dying minutes, Brendan Rodgers’ men were well marshalled by the City rearguard.
Most importantly, Ederson was rarely troubled at Manchester City’s goalpost.
Arsenal can still return to the top of the table with victory against Nottingham Forest at Emirates Stadium on Sunday but for now Manchester City are back in the position that has become such familiar territory in recent years.
