Davido’s ‘Timeless’ sets new record as it becomes first album to gain 1 million streams within 6 hours of release on Boomplay

Phenomenal musician, Davido has set a new record on the music streaming platform, Boomplay as his new album, ‘Timeless‘ surpasses a million stream within six hours of release.

The much-anticipated 17-track album was released at 12 am on 31st March 2023 and has ousted various albums to secure the number one spot on Nigeria’s Too Charts, UK Top charts and that of several other countries on Apple Music.

It has also set the record of being the only album at the moment which has amassed a million stream six hours after it dropped on Boomplay.

Following the release of the song, the Davido has described the journey from his previous album, A Better Time to the recent Timeless as a whirlwind.

“At long last – WE are back. The journey from my last album to this album has been a whirlwind to say the least,” he wrote in part.
