Cristiano Ronaldo urges patience in Manchester United rebuild

Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his belief that Manchester United is still one of the world’s top football clubs.

However, he insists the team needs time to fully rebuild.

Speaking in a recent interview with FiveUk, the Portuguese star acknowledged that the club is undergoing major changes, particularly in its structure and infrastructure.

“They need time to rebuild because it’s still one of the best clubs in the world, but they need to change,” Ronaldo stated.

He also praised the club’s efforts to improve its facilities, saying, “The owners are investing in the training ground, and I’m happy because things are changing.”

However, Ronaldo stressed the importance of involving former players in the rebuilding process.

He suggested that current manager Erik ten Hag could benefit from consulting club legends like their current Assistant manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy and former boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

“You cannot rebuild a club without knowledge,” he said.

On Ten Hag’s approach, Ronaldo advised a mindset of ambition, noting, “You cannot say that you’re not going to fight to win the Premier League or Champions League… You have to try.”
