Cristiano Ronaldo receives Guinness World record for most international wins

Cristiano Ronaldo has added another accolade to his illustrious career, receiving a Guinness World Record plaque for achieving the most wins in international football.

The Portugal captain surpassed former Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos’ record last November after leading his nation to a 5-1 victory over Poland, bringing his tally to 132 international wins.

Ahead of Portugal’s Nations League quarter-final second leg against Denmark at Estadio Jose Alvalade, Ronaldo was officially presented with the award.

The 40-year-old already holds multiple Guinness World Records, including:

Most goals in international football

First player to score 100 UEFA Champions League goals

Most-followed male on Instagram

However, his latest recognition didn’t translate into immediate success on the pitch, as he missed a penalty during the game.

Ronaldo is set to return to club duty with Al-Nassr on April 4 for a crucial Saudi Pro League showdown against Al-Hilal.
