“Couldn’t get job with my first class and Masters” – Man reveals why he relocated abroad
A Nigerian man who now works in the United States of America has spoken on the series of unfortunate events that made him seek opportunities abroad.
The man known as Samuel Ajayi, a physicist, said that despite his bagging a first-class degree in Nigeria and going on to cop a distinction in his master’s, he still couldn’t secure work as a lecturer.
He revealed that the unfavourable circumstance drove him to pursue further studies abroad until he secured a lecturing job overseas.
Physicist Samuel Ajayi wrote …
“Left for my PhD in Nuclear Physics. Couldn’t get a lecturing job in Nigerian Universities with my first class Bsc and distinction Msc in Physics.
Interestingly, my Bsc advisor in Nigeria told me after my Msc that if it was in the old good days, with my results, I would have an office waiting for me in the department”
