Confirmed: Joshua Zirkzee joins Manchester United

Manchester United have announced the signing of Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee.

Zirkzee, 2023/24 Serie A Under-23 Player of the Year, joins from Bologna FC and has signed a contract until June 2029, with an option for an additional year.

Zirkzee, 23, was Bologna’s top scorer last season, leading them to a UEFA Champions League qualification.

The Netherlands international previously won six trophies with Bayern Munich.

Expressing his excitement, Zirkzee said, “Having had discussions with the manager and the leaders of the club I know how exciting the future is going to be here.

“I cannot wait to play my part in achieving success for Manchester United. I am a player who has always dedicated everything to winning.

“I’m ready for this next challenge, to go to another level in my career and win more trophies,” he said.

Zirkzee will take a brief break after his national team duties before traveling to Old Trafford for his new challenge.
