Church member narrates how pastor monitored amount of offering, told everyone not to transfer below 1k

A member of a church in Nigeria has claimed that her pastor inspected the church members’ offerings and said one should transfer less than a thousand Naira to the church account on Sunday.

According to the church member, the pastor directed the cameraman to focus on every member’s offering envelope to capture how much was inside.

She said, “Something happened at church today and it pissed me off, The pastor came down from the altar and told everyone to bring out their offering while inspecting it from seat to seat. It was so weird because he added no one should transfer less than 1k to the church account,” she wrote.  

She further said, “The way the camera will face your offering envelope while you bring out your 500 naira was so unnecessary, men of God should do better.”

In related news, mixed reactions have trailed a video of a pastor relaxing in his car while his members were seen walking in the rain.

The video which surfaced online captures the unknown pastor chilling in his SUV while it was raining.

Members of his church, however, were walking in the rain, singing and chanting their crusade songs as they followed after the SUV which was in front of them. READ MORE…
