“It was like losing a part of me because she was like a mother to me” – Chinedu Ikedieze speaks on death of Ada Ameh (Video)
Veteran Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze better known as Aki has revealed that the late thespian, Ada Ameh was like a mother to him.
The seasoned actor opened up on his relationship with the actress. He had always viewed her like his nonbiological mother to him both on- and off-screen.
Prior to her passing, Ada Ameh had played the role of his mother in the famous Nigerian comic series, The Johnsons.
He revealed that the actress’ death had cut him deeply, leaving him deeply saddened.
Chinedu Ikedieze said;
“Ada was like a mother to me, you know!
She took that character off the screen. As in, even outside production. I have met her severally outside, you know, that people will say ‘see your Pikin’. You know that kind of a thing. So it was like losing a part of me. It was really. In fact, that was the least story or information or news I opted to hear.
That’s the biggest shock of our lives. That’s all of us. The Johnsons. It broke us… Forever”.
