Chelsea told to lower asking price for Conor Gallagher to seal Atletico Madrid move
Atletico Madrid are keen to sign Chelsea academy graduate Conor Gallagher, but the Blues valuation of the player poses a challenge.
The West London side are told to reduce their asking price if they are to sell Gallagher to the LaLiga club.
According to talkSPORT, Chelsea have been in discussions with Atletico about a potential move for Gallagher to the Spanish capital.
Currently, Chelsea are demanding over £50 million for the midfielder, while Diego Simeone’s side are only prepared to offer up to £40 million.
Despite the ongoing negotiations, Gallagher is reportedly relaxed about his future, even with his current contract set to expire next summer.
Chelsea have identified Gallagher and fellow academy graduate Trevoh Chalobah, who was left out of their pre-season tour to the USA, as players they can offload to help mitigate any Financial Fair Play issues.
The Blues are looking to streamline their squad and generate funds through player sales, with Gallagher being a key part of these plans.
