Chelsea, Roma set €38m transfer agreement for Lukaku next summer
Chelsea and Roma have reportedly reached an agreement regarding the permanent transfer fee for Romelu Lukaku next summer.
The Belgian striker, who joined Roma on loan during the summer, has been in top form under Jose Mourinho, scoring nine goals in 14 appearances.
A report by Calciomercato reveals that Chelsea have given their consent to set a €38 million price tag on Lukaku for the upcoming summer transfer window.
The agreement will be embedded as a clause in his contract, allowing Roma to plan their future with the striker.
The club impressed by Lukaku’s contributions, are wiling to secure his services beyond the current season.
Meanwhile, Roma’s director, Tiago Pinto, is said to have initiated discussions to explore options that might allow the club to negotiate a slight discount on the agreed fee with Chelsea.
