Cardi B backs Kamala Harris for President
American rapper, Cardi B, has embraced Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the United States.
Cardi B, made headlines after she suggested Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s candidate following President Joe Biden’s debate with Republican Party nominee Donald Trump.
She further took to her page to hail Biden’s resignation and enthusiastically endorsed Harris, a post which got a lot of netizens dragging her.
Recall that President Joe Biden resigned as the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate on Sunday and endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris, as the party’s nominee.
Reacting via her X handle, Cardi B wrote: “Aha hahaha let’s go! I told y’all Kamala [Harris] was supposed to be the 2024 candidate… Stop f*ckin playing with me!”
Cardi B had told Rolling Stone in May that she wouldn’t be voting in the November poll if the two major candidates remain incumbent President Joe Biden of the Democratic Party, and his predecessor, Donald Trump of the Republican Party.
She explained that she used to see Trump as “a dire threat”, but under Biden, she felt “layers and layers of disappointment” from what she sees as domestic and foreign mismanagement.
