Calafiori to Arsenal: No deal confirmed yet despite Chelsea’s withdrawal
Despite Chelsea pulling out of the race, Riccardo Calafiori’s move to Arsenal is not yet a done deal due to signing fee.
While multiple sources confirm that the Italian defender has agreed on personal terms with the Gunners, Bologna has yet to accept Arsenal’s offer.
The Italian club’s €50 million asking price has not been met by Arsenal, as reported by Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Gunners’ offer is close, but further negotiations are reportedly required to finalize the transfer.
Tuttosport suggests that additional bonuses and add-ons may be the key to sealing the deal.
Meanwhile, fhe 22-year-old Italy international is expected to sign a contract worth €4 million per year until June 2029 once terms are agreed upon, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano.
On the other hand reports, from Gazzetta indicate that the final transfer fee could reach approximately €53 million, including bonuses.
Despite the ongoing negotiations, Arsenal remain the frontrunners to secure the services of Calafiori’s signature this summer.
The player has also shown willingness to play under Mikel Arteta, but paper works and fees must be met first.
