C. Ronaldo refers to Georgina as “my wife”, sparks marriage rumors
Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has seemingly confirmed that he is married to his long-time partner, Georgina Rodriguez.
The revelation came during his acceptance speech at the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards on Friday, December 27, where the Al-Nassr forward was honoured with the awards for Best Middle Eastern Player and Top Goalscorer of All Time.
In his speech, the 39-year-old Portuguese icon expressed gratitude to his family, saying:
“It’s a big pleasure to win this trophy. My oldest son is here, my wife [Georgina] is here.”
This statement has sparked widespread speculation that Ronaldo and Rodriguez, who have been together since 2016, may have tied the knot in secret.
The couple shares two children together—Alana Martina, 8, and Bella Esmeralda, 2. Rodriguez also plays a maternal role to Ronaldo’s other children: Cristiano Jr., 14, and twins Eva and Mateo, 7.
While marriage rumors have followed the couple for years, this marks the first time Ronaldo has publicly referred to Rodriguez as his wife, fueling curiosity about whether the pair recently formalized their relationship.
Fans and media outlets are abuzz with the possibility, given the couple’s high-profile lifestyle and strong family bond. Neither Ronaldo nor Rodriguez has made an official announcement about the status of their relationship, leaving fans eagerly awaiting clarification.
