Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have finally landed safely back on Earth after a nine-month space ordeal.

Initially slated for an eight-day mission to the International Space Station (ISS), astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams faced an unexpected twist when engine glitches hit the Boeing Starliner spaceship.

Forced to extend their stay, they awaited rescue alongside NASA’s Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov.

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, the quartet splashed down safely off Florida’s Gulf Coast, marking the end of their arduous nine-month journey.

They traveled back to Earth aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, marking the end of a remarkable and extended stay in space.

During their prolonged stay, Williams and Wilmore kept busy, participating in over 150 scientific experiments and even undergoing spacewalks.

Despite the challenges, they expressed heartfelt gratitude for the life-changing experience and the privilege of contributing to groundbreaking space research.
