Burna Boy’s concert officially canceled, see why
The contentious concert featuring Grammy Award-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has been officially canceled.
Following news that the concert had been rescheduled for December 16 due to weak ticket sales, the star’s name recently topped social media trends.
After his eagerly anticipated concert was postponed, Burna Boy will not be visiting Mzansi this year. Low ticket sales forced the postponement of the critically acclaimed star’s performance from its original September 23 date at the FNB Stadium to December 16.
The Burna Boy show has now been canceled, according to a tweet from well-known entertainment blogger Phil Mphela. The post mentioned that TicketPro had stopped all ticket sales for the concert.
The post stated:. “Burna Boy concert now officially cancelled. Cited are “ inability for the promoters to fulfil their contractual, financial, production and technical obligations”
“Production vendors had apparently not been paid on time. “Management conceded that the agreed production standard needed for the venue size could not be achieved. TicketPro has seized all sales of tickets to the concert.”
