Brighton reject Napoli’s £8m bid for Billy Gilmour

Brighton have reportedly turned down an £8 million offer from Napoli for Scottish international Billy Gilmour.

Despite rejecting the initial bid, the Seagulls could be persuaded to part with Gilmour if Napoli raises their offer to around £12 million.

Gilmour, 23, joined Brighton from Chelsea for £9 million in 2022 and quickly became an integral part of the team, making 30 Premier League appearances last season.

The midfielder also represented Scotland in all three of their matches at Euro 2024, further boosting his profile.

With his contract running until 2026, Brighton holds a strong negotiating position.
