Brighton bag first clean sheet in goalless draw against West Ham
Brighton have made their first clean sheet in the 2023/24 season in a goalless draw clash against West Ham United on Tuesday.
The draw saw Brighton to seventh place, surpassing Manchester United.
Both teams were marred by a number of absentees, due to injuries, with a total of 16 first-team players missing.
West Ham had to put up with the absence of Mohammed Kudus, who is set to join Ghana for the Africa Cup of Nations, alongside Lucas Paqueta.
Brighton, on the other hand, welcomed back Adam Webster from injury but had to start James Milner at left-wing due to their own injury woes.
Despite West Ham’s efforts, including eight crucial saves from goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, they became the first team in 23 Premier League games to fail to score against Brighton.
