Breaking: Kai Havertz ruled out for rest of season as Arsenal’s injury woes deepen

Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes have suffered a major blow, with Kai Havertz ruled out for the rest of the season due to a torn hamstring sustained during a training camp in Dubai.

The 25-year-old German joins an already lengthy injury list, with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, and Gabriel Martinelli also sidelined.

Mikel Arteta now faces a major selection headache as Arsenal’s attacking options dwindle.

Youngster Ethan Nwaneri has emerged as a possible emergency solution.

Recall Arteta had acknowledged his versatility, stating, “He can play right attacking midfielder, left attacking midfielder, right winger…

“There is another position that I think he can develop into in a few years.”

When pressed further, he added, “Nine. When he’s got the goal in front of him, he just looks at the goal. He has a tremendous ability to put the ball into the back of the net.”

Arsenal’s failure to secure an attacking reinforcement in January now looms large.

The club explored options but was unable to finalize a deal, leaving Arteta reliant on his existing squad and Hale End graduates.
