Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi to face long spell on sidelines following injury blow
Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that forward Karim Adeyemi will be out of action for several weeks due to injury.
The player suffered a partial tear of the syndesmosis ligament during Dortmund’s last Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite the injury, Adeyemi continued to play and even scored a goal for Dortmund during the match.
However, he eventually had to leave the pitch due to the pain. As a result, he missed the team’s last fixture against Augsburg and will also be unavailable for their upcoming matches.
Meanwhile, the club are hopeful that Adeyemi will be able to return to full team training in January.
“He won’t be able to play for the rest of this year. We just hope that he will be back in training with the team as soon as possible in January,” head coach Edin Terzic said.
