Borussia Dortmund set up loan deal for Chelsea defender Trevor Chalobah
Borussia Dortmund are the latest Bundesliga club to express interest in Chelsea defender, Trevor Chalobah, on a loan.
Following Bayern Munich interest during the summer transfer window, Dortmund are looking to bolster their central defense options, and Chalobah appears to be a prime target for the winter transfer window.
According to reports, Dortmund sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, and manager Edin Terzic are keen on securing the 24-year-old’s services after their unsuccessful pursuit of Armel Bella-Kotchap on loan during the summer transfer market.
Chalobah’s adaptability, which allows him to play as a right-back and a defensive midfielder, makes him an attractive prospect for the German giants.
GFN Germany reports that the club’s primary goal is to secure a loan deal with an option to buy Chalobah in the summer, as he remains under contract with Chelsea until 2028.
While Chelsea have not officially made the defender available, reports suggest they could consider offers in the range of €30 million if they decide to part ways with the English man.
