“Borrow airtime to avoid your sim getting blocked” – Erigga sparks controversy

Indigenous singer, Erigga has advised Nigerians without National Identity Number, NIN, to borrow airtime on their sims to avoid it getting blocked.

In line with the directives from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), citizens of Nigeria are advised to link NIN number with their respectful network provider to avoid being disconnected.

Erigga however believes to have worked out a solution to avoid being blocked; according to the newlywed husband, owing the network provider leaves you at their mercy.

“To prevent your sim from being blocked because of NIN registration, borrow better money with the sim. Must king paper tell you everything?” he wrote in a tweet.
