BBNaija season 9 housemate, KellyRae gets candid on why he would prefer to win the show edition’s N100M grand prize than his wife, Kassia having it.

The pair who used to be referred to as team Double Kay began their individual journey to winning the grand prize following the dissolution of the pairing system. A move announced by the show’s organizers after the Sunday eviction that waved the Radicals duo goodbye.

During a chitchat with other housemates after the eviction show, KellyRae revealed that his wife [a secret unknown to other housemates] is business-oriented and stiff with money.

According to the singer who hailed from Delta state, there would be a better circulation of the funds in their household if he won than Kassia having it.

“For me, I prefer to win because Kassia money is hers while my money is our; story go change just now. She knows what I am saying is true; she doesn’t joke with money,” he stated partly.

While the topic seemed a bit sensitive, his wife found it hilarious just as the other housemates in the dining who listened to his candid comment.

From reactions on the X platform, his statement seems to have resolved the divided vote between him and his wife.

One @UdueheEkere wrote, “Ah I think kellyRae has made it easy😂 guy head is in the game. We voting kellyRae.”

Another user, @_Oluwabukolami added, “I think he has stylishly told #DoubleKay fans what should be done. Channel the votes to KellyRae. The votes should not be divided.”
