BBNaija Day 16: No boxing Nini, Biggie’s surprise, Michael the father of nations, among others
BBNaija Day 16 comes with intriguing dramas, one was when Nini asked not be boxed after White Money read the wrong signals over he closeness with Saga, Kayvee receives the BBNaija manual from Whitemoney and many more.
No boxing Nini
It is always easy to read the wrong signals, especially when two Housemates of the opposite sex spend ample time in each other’s company. In Nini’s case, she has to deal with people thinking she and Saga are in a relationship because of how close they are. One of those Housemates rmisreading the signals is Whitemoney, and she had to take the time to explain to him that there was nothing going on between Sage and her.
Whitemoney’s error
Apparently, Whitemoney was under the impression that Saga and Nini were in a relationship and – being the good friend that he wants to be – he sought to make sure Saga’s vested interests in Nini were well-protected. Some might say he took his role too seriously – especially when the new male Housemates came in and he clearly pointed out that they take their eyes off Nini as she belonged to someone else. Going even further, he had a conversation with Nini about it while urging her not to break Saga’s heart for the sake of one of the Hosue’s new arrivals.
No box for this girl
Nini knew the damage half-truths or misconceptions could cause and immediately decided to set the record straight about her perceived relationship with Saga. In the first place, she was already in a relationship outside the House, something of which Saga was well, and so the friendship that they enjoyed at that moment had no further implications. Their strong bond comes from their amazing conversations and from the fact that he was the first person with whom she connected. She made it clear that she didn’t want to be put in a box with him, and – regarding the new guys in the House – she was free to do whatever she liked.
And that was exactly what she did! No sooner had she finished that conversation than she made herself right comfortable next to Michael, the newbie.
Biggie’s surprise and an emotional eviction
The last two standing Housemates from the nominated five took time to savour the sweet escape from Eviction, and we can’t help but celebrate their extended stay in Big Brother’s House.
Whitemoney’s emotions got the best of him as he stood by the window fighting back tears and muttering words of thanks to the Higher Being for extending his stay in the House. This might be the closest he has gotten to opening up and showing this vulnerable side of himself. Yousef – amazingly – kept a cool demeanour after his ecstatic show of gratitude when Ebuka announced he was safe. He then went on to share a quiet moment with Angel discussing how it hurt to watch Yerins and Beatrice leave.
Welcoming the new crew
Just like a true host, Boma welcomed the newcomers into the Shine Ya Eye House as he nudged them to formally introduce themselves to the rest of the Housemates. One by one, they stepped in front of the Geng to talk about themselves and their background. After being welcomed by the Head of House, Boma gave the new Housemates a tour of the House to acquaint them with this new space.
Although the Housemates did not have the usual toasts and celebrations for the new Housemates, Michael, was welcomed with a blessing from Whitemoney and a plate of food from the Shine Ya Eye ladies.
While the entry of four new Housemates was unexpected, Big Brother’s surprise truly lived up to the theme of this season. Some of the Housemates took time to discuss the new Housemates ,and we’re curious to see how their presence will impact all sorts of ships and cliques in this House.
New ‘Shine Ya Eye’ Housemate Michael intimates Pere, Yousef and Kayvee on his unique views on family and children
Kayvee receives the BBNaija manual
Kayvee receives some orientation from Whitemoney about what to expect while in the #BBNaija House.
Like a duck to water
After two weeks in the House, Boma suddenly only has eyes for Queen. He’s been stuck to her like white on rice since she arrived, and she doesn’t seem bothered.
New Housemates, more problems?
The New ‘Shine Ya Eye’ Housemates Michael, Kayvee, Queen and JKM seem to be settling in just fine in Biggie’s House. So far no accidents, or drama with the old Housemates have happened. Don’t get us wrong we love the whole love and light vibe but we can’t help but wonder if it’s all pretence both from the Old Housemates and the new Housemates.
The old Housemates seem to be all fine and we are not sure if it’s genuine or just an act. Only Arin was caught recently saying she believes the new Housemates are fake.  Outside Arin’s suspicions, no other Housemate has been spotted speaking about the new Housemates.
Time will tell.
- Will old situationships come to an end?( Pere and Maria on the beat here?)
- Will new ships be formed? (side eyeing Boma and Queen)
Whatever the case maybe, we’ve got our eyes on the Housemates and will be the first to pour you all the juicy tea when it is brewed.
