BBNaija All Stars: Shallipopi declares support for Angel after she professed love for him
Popular Nigerian rapper, Shallipopi has declared his support for Big Brother Naija All Stars contestant, Angel Smith after the beautiful housemate revealed to fellow housemates that she loves him.
Angel professed her love for the popular singer during a conversation with fellow housemates, expressing her admiration for the rapper and calling him her spec.
She further shared her active involvement in advocating for Shallipopi’s release when he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a now trending video, Angel said: “Real Shalipopi and he’s so fine, my spec, even when they carried him, I was like ‘Free Elon Musk’, until they released him.”
Reacting to Angel’s comment in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the rapper called on his fans to vote for her.
Retweeting the video of Angel’s conversation on the show, Shalipopi wrote: “Vote only Angel 💯 e nor pass like that.”
In related news, fast-rising artist and “Who’s your Guy crooner”, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro has been cautioned by skit maker, Nasboi and music journalist, Joey Akan for criticizing the song lyrics of Shallipopi and other musicians who do secular music.
Spyro, while speaking in a recent podcast, The Honest Bunch hosted by Nedu criticised Shallipopi for the lyrics to his songs, especially the latest song, “Para dey Body”
While stressing that Shallipopi puts out lyrics that make people internalize fraud, Spyro noted the importance of putting out songs with lyrics that are impactful must not be neglected.
Calling out Spyro over his comment, Joey via his X handle, pointed out that Spyro makes his money using secular artists and operating in a secular industry but keeps debasing his colleagues while promoting Jesus.
Also reacting to Spyro’s comment on Instagram, Nasboi wrote, “Brooooooo like!!!! What’s your job? Music. Do you use your music to talk about Christ? NO! Omuh you Judging as a Chris is a turn off. Talk too much man”
