Bayern permit newly signed Olise to participate in Paris Olympic Games for France
Bayern Munich are on the verge of announcing French attacking midfielder Michael Olise after signing a five-year deal.
Although the forward is just coming in, the German giants have allowed him to participate in the Paris Olympic Games under Thierry Henry’s national team.
The 22-year-old former Crystal Palace player, who completed his €60 million move to the Bundesliga champions this Sunday, has been given the green light to join France’s Olympic squad.
This development comes as a relief for Henry, who faced a setback when Juventus retained Khéphren Thuram, ruling him out of Olympic selection.
Over the weekend, Olise left the training camp at Aix-en-Provence to finalize his transfer and undergo a medical in Munich.
Meanwhile, in a pre-Olympics friendly against Paraguay on Thursday, Olise started as an attacking midfielder, contributing to France’s 4-1 win.
