Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign 21-year-old Athletic Club winger Nico Williams, ahead of their next season’s revenge campaign.
Williams, one of Europe’s most promising talents, has already attracted interest from top clubs including Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Aston Villa.
Having renewed his contract with Athletic Club until 2027, the star forward has a reported release clause close to €60 million.
His impressive performances in La Liga and the Copa del Rey this season have made him a hot demand in the transfer market.
According to Relevo, Bayern Munich are the latest club to express interest in the Spanish international.
The Bavarian giants, who have also been linked with Williams’ international teammate Dani Olmo, are considering their options as they prepare for the next transfer window.
Meanwhile, Bayern’s Sporting Director Max Eberl is said to be currently focused on finalizing the appointment of their new manager, likely to be Vincent Kompany.
Hence, any potential move for Williams would require the new manager’s approval, but Eberl is keen to outline a quick strategy, with Williams seen as a strong addition.
