Barcelona target Ademola Lookman as backup winger option

Barcelona have expanded their search for a left winger, adding Ademola Lookman to their shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window.

While Liverpool’s Luis Díaz remains the top priority for sporting director Deco, and Rafael Leão is also under consideration amid AC Milan’s willingness to sell, Lookman has emerged as a potential alternative, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Atalanta star has been in excellent form, with his standout performance coming in last season’s Europa League final, where he netted a hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen.

Lookman, who was instrumental to Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Rwanda on Friday, is reportedly seeking a move away from Serie A, with Paris Saint-Germain and Premier League clubs also monitoring his situation.

Despite Barcelona’s admiration for the 27-year-old winger, he is not their primary target, according to Football Espana.

A transfer would only be pursued if the club fails to land Díaz or Leão.
