During Rangers’ game against St Mirren, a ball boy was substituted after a cheeky move that tricked Leon Balogun.
As the ball went out for a throw-in, the Nigerian defender approached the ball boy to retrieve it.
However, the kid decided to play a prank, holding out the ball before throwing it away just as Balogun reached for it.
The crowd responded with cheers, but the incident didn’t go unnoticed. A St Mirren staff member intervened, leading the ball boy away from the pitch, indicating he could no longer be part of the game.
Meanwhile, Commentators laughed at the unusual ‘substitution’, with one remarking, “Our pal with the mohawk has just been removed!”
Despite the distraction, Rangers went on to secure a 2-1 win in the Scottish Premiership clash.
James Bolton’s own goal initially put them in front before Mikael Mandron equalised for St Mirren.
