Atletico Madrid, Barcelona clash over Joao Felix’s future

The future of Joao Felix remains uncertain as Barcelona and Atletico Madrid find themselves at odds over the Portuguese forward.

Despite a loan stint at Barcelona this season, Felix’s situation remains unresolved as the summer transfer window approaches.

The 24-year-old, has struggled to establish himself at Barcelona, often finding himself as a second option under manager Xavi Hernandez.

While he has been able to prove himself in some games, he has failed to secure a regular starting role.

 

According to Sport, Barcelona is open to the possibility of retaining Felix for another season but on reduced terms, potentially through another loan deal with a purchase option.

However, Atletico Madrid is pushing for a permanent transfer with an obligation to buy, valuing Felix at over €50 million.

The negotiations are said to controlled by intermediary Jorge Mendes, who is exploring potential exits for Felix, including a move to Saudi Arabia.
