Arteta beats Guardiola to win ‘Best Premier League Coach’ Award, vows to win at Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has vowed to succeed at the club after being named the ‘Best Premier League Coach’ at the Globe Soccer Awards.

He edged Manchester City’s boss Pep Guardiola to the prestigious title.

Despite Arsenal finishing second to City in the Premier League for the past two seasons, Arteta’s achievements were recognized at the ceremony in Sardinia, Italy.

Under his leadership, the Gunners collected 89 points in the 2023/24 season, their highest since the Invincibles’ 90-point haul in 2003/04.

Arteta’s side also set a club record by winning 28 out of 38 matches and scoring a record high of 91 goals.

They made it even more interesting by remaining undefeated against any of the ‘Big Six’ teams.

In his acceptance speech, Arteta rallied Arsenal supporters, stating, “Win, Win, win and win. That’s what we want.

“We have a team full of enthusiasm and so hungry to win trophies. We know the competition, but we believe we can do it. So we are going to give it a real go,” he vowed.
