Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale lined up for Nottingham Forest’s loan transfer

Nottingham Forest are considering a loan move for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale as they search for a new No.1.

Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to sign the England international, but the club cannot meet Arsenal’s £50 million asking price.

Instead, Forest are hoping to arrange a loan deal, potentially covering all of Ramsdale’s wages and offering a significant bonus.

This approach comes as Arsenal have yet to receive suitable bids for the 26-year-old keeper, despite interest from several Premier League clubs.

Forest’s alternative target, Crystal Palace’s Sam Johnstone, is also in demand, with Wolves, Leicester, Southampton, and Bournemouth all showing interest.

Palace face their own goalkeeper dilemma, with Dean Henderson set to become the first choice under new manager Oliver Glasner.

Meanwhile, Arsenal would need to find a replacement for Ramsdale if he were to leave, with Wolves’ Dan Bentley being a potential option.

However, negotiations for Bentley have stalled due to his high fee and new contract terms at Wolves, according SunSport.

Mikel Arteta is reportedly exploring other alternatives to ensure reliable cover for David Raya.
