Arsenal reject Al Ittihad’s loan proposal for Trossard
Arsenal have rejected an approach from Al Ittihad for their Belgian forward, Leandro Trossard, according to The Athletic.
The Saudi Pro League club made an informal offer for a season-long loan, including a €5 million fee and an obligation to buy next summer for up to €25 million.
Arsenal quickly turned down the proposal, emphasizing that Trossard is not for sale.
A source close to the club told stated, “Leandro is a key player for us, and there’s no interest in letting him go.”
The 29-year-old forward, who joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023, has been integral to Mikel Arteta’s plans.
Trossard has contributed 19 goals and 12 assists in 71 appearances.
His impact was particularly noted last season as Arsenal came within two points of clinching the Premier League title.
This season, Trossard continues to play a vital role. He recently started in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Brighton and netted a crucial goal off the bench in their 2-0 win over Aston Villa.
