Arsenal close gap on Premier League leaders after thumping Crystal Palace 5-0
Arsenal have closed the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool after thrashing Crystal Palace 5-0 at the Emirates stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners took the lead just eleven minutes into the game when Gabriel Magalhães scored a powerful header from a corner.
He continued his impact from set-pieces as he added a second goal from another corner, this time off the boot of Bukayo Saka, leaving Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson helpless.
In the second half, Leandro Trossard ended his goal drought with a fine finish to make it 3-0 for the hosts.
The game was then sealed by substitute Gabriel Martinelli, who scored a quick-fire double to complete the 5-0 for Arsenal.
