Aproko Doctor laments horrible condition of healthcare centres
Nigerian doctor, Chinonso Egemba, popularly known as Aproko doctor, has lamented the horrible conditions of health centers in Nigeria.
In a video on Monday, Aproko doctor revealed the dilapidating condition of most primary healthcare centers in Nigeria.
He lamented that the place women are meant to be safe as they birth their children, is in worse condition, posing more threat to both their lives and that of their babies.
He also criticized the lack of adequate medical supplies needed to make delivery better.
One of the staff of the health center, disclosed that when women come to give birth at night and there’s no light, they make use of the torch lights from their phones.
He called on the government to take the rehabilitation of primary healthcare centres in the country seriously.
According to him, the primary healthcare centers are the first level of healthcare in serious countries.
He stated, “Our leaders can do better. The primary health care centers are the bedrock of our healthcare.
This is not a doctor’s problem, it’s a Nigerians problem. It’s our job to demand for better healthcare.”
