Antony battle Mbappe for La Liga Player of the Month

Real Betis winger Antony has been nominated for La Liga Player of the Month for February, competing with Kylian Mbappe after an impressive start to life on loan from Manchester United.

The Brazilian has scored three goals and provided one assist in his first three league appearances for Betis since joining in January.

His performances have earned him a place among the nominees alongside Real Madrid’s Mbappe, Barcelona’s Pedri, Athletic Club’s Oihan Sancet, and Osasuna’s Ante Budimir.

Mbappe scored twice in three league matches for Real Madrid, including a derby equalizer against Atletico Madrid, while Pedri contributed one assist and played a key role in Barcelona reclaiming top spot in La Liga.

Antony will next feature for Betis in their Europa Conference League knockout play-off second-leg match against Gent on Thursday.
