Anthony Martial set to join AEK Athens, becomes club’s highest-paid player
Former Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, is set to join AEK Athens after leaving the Premier League club as a free agent in June.
The Frenchman, linked with several clubs including Flamengo, has now agreed to a move to the Greek side.
AEK Athens confirmed Martial’s impending arrival on their social media, announcing that he will land in the city on Wednesday evening to finalize his transfer.
According to Greek media outlet Fos, Martial has signed a three-year deal with AEK worth €3.5 million per season, making him the highest-paid player in the club’s history.
