Ancelotti to retire from club management after Real Madrid job
Head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that his current spell at Real Madrid will be his last in club management.
Recall he recently extended his contract with the Spanish giants until 2026,
During a press conference, the 64-year-old expressed his desire to continue coaching beyond 2026,”Yes, but it may not be in 2026. Hopefully, I can stay until 2027 or 2028.”
He noted his fondness for Real Madrid and his satisfaction with staying at the club despite being approached for the Brazil national team coaching position.
“I was always clear about my situation with Real Madrid, and it ended as I wanted: staying here.”
Throughout his coaching career, Ancelotti has achieved a number of milestones, including winning the UEFA Champions League twice with Real Madrid and twice with AC Milan.
His laurels also include domestic league titles in Italy, Spain, England, Germany, and France, making him the only coach to achieve this feat across the top five European leagues.
