Amorim hints at major overhaul at Manchester United ahead of Fulham test

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has hinted at a major squad shake-up, vowing to be “ruthless” with underperforming players harming the team’s progress.

The Portuguese tactician, under pressure following a poor run of form, emphasized that while he values fairess, he won’t hesitate to make tough decisions for the club’s benefit.

“I don’t like to be like that just to show strength,” Amorim said ahead of United’s FA Cup clash with Fulham.

“But when I feel that it is something which is going to harm the team, then I am quite ruthless.”

Casemiro, Marcus Rashford, and Antony are among the high-profile names reportedly at risk of being offloaded.

Even young strikers Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee could face scrutiny, as Amorim looks to reshape the squad.

United’s poor Premier League form has intensified concerns, with just five wins from 16 games under Amorim and a record-breaking five home defeats in just seven matches.

His struggles mirror those of David Moyes, who previously took 14 games to hit the same number of home losses.

However, Amorim acknowledged the results haven’t been good enough but remains focused on the immediate task at hand. “There are still a lot of games to play,” he noted.
