Alves plans returning to football if successful with rape appeal
Dani Alves who was convicted of rape last month over an incident in Barcelona in 2022, has said he wants to return to football if successful with appeal.
Following the appeal, he was granted bail and temporarily released from prison, where he had been since January 2023.
Under the conditions of his bail, Alves has surrendered his Spanish and Brazilian passports and must report to court every Friday.
He is currently residing in Barcelona, awaiting the outcome of his appeal, which may not be reached until next year.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, Alves remains hopeful about the success of the appeal.
If the decision is overturned, allowing his permanent release, he plans to return to football.
