AFCON 2023: Achraf Hakimi on target as Morocco draw DR Congo

Achraf Hakimi found the back of the net as Morocco drew 1-1 with DR Congo at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Morocco struggled to assert their presence in the clash, despite the early lead by Hakimi in the first half.

Meanwhile, Congo fought to level the score before half time, but had their goal by Cedric Bakambu disallowed.

In the second half, both teams failed to create clearly chances until the 76th minute when a brilliant finish by Silas Mvumpa brought back Congo into the game.

Despite the result, Morocco still top Group E with four points, followed by Congo after drawing their last two game.
