Achraf Hakimi’s wife breaks silence on rape allegation against him

Hiba Abouk, wife of Moroccan football star, Achraf Hakimi has disclosed that she was already separated from the Paris St-German player before he was charged with rape.

The Paris Saint-Germain star has been under investigation by French authorities following an allegation of raping a woman at his home in the Boulogne area of Paris on February 25.

According to Le Parisien, Hakimi had been talking to the alleged victim on Instagram since January 16. He allegedly paid for an Uber to drive her to his home in a Paris suburb.

The victim claimed he assaulted her before she was able to free herself by kicking him and texting a friend to pick her up.

Addressing the allegation in a statement released today, March 27, the 36-year-old Spanish-Tunisian actress said she doesn’t live with Hakimi anymore and they are in divorce proceedings.

Hiba who also stated that she will always be on the side of victims, added that the charges brought her “shame” and she “needs time to digest this shock.”

She wrote;

“The reality is that a while ago, after a lot of reflection, the father of my children and I made the decision to end our relationship, long before the recent media events that have involved me, which are totally external.

“It goes without saying that I have always been and will always be on the side of the victims, therefore, given the seriousness of the accusations, we can only trust in the good work of justice.

“I needed time to digest this shock.”

Hakimi met Hiba while playing for Borussia Dortmund and they married in a secret ceremony in 2020. Their first son was born that year and another two years later.
